We have a very special surprise for you this week. We asked four interns what they wore to their interviews with Bayer and whether they have noticed any particular dress code during their internships. You can find the exclusive answers from Kala, Johanna, Phuong and Louisa in a four-part series on our career blog.
Department: Business Consulting
Your department’s function:
Advising Bayer’s business units worldwide.
What advice would you give to potential applicants?
Discreet jewelry, discreet make-up, discreet perfume. In other words, a little of everything, but not too much. Before you go to the interview, you should also make sure your blouse is properly ironed and that you haven’t spilled any of your lunch on it! ;-).
What would you avoid?
Really short skirts/dresses and a plunging neckline are an absolute no-no for me! Also, if you wear stockings or pantyhose, make sure they don’t have a run.
What was the most important influencing factor when you were deciding what to wear?
That I felt good in it!
The white blouse.
